To assist you with meeting the demands of a busy lifestyle, our practice is open until 8pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Carina Medical and Specialist Centre is a quality private billing general practice and our fees are based on the length of consultation. We are not a bulk billing practice. Payment is required at the time of consultation by Cash, Eftpos or Credit Card. We have the ability to process your Medicare rebate immediately for your convenience. For futher information in relation to our charges please speak to our friendly reception team.
Patient Test Results
Your doctor or pathology collector will advise you when they expect the results of tests or procedures to arrive at the practice. We ask that you contact our Practice Nurse to find out your results and what they mean for your care. If your results require further follow up with your practitioner, the Practice Nurse will contact you to schedule an appointment.
Scheduling an appointment is essential to minimize consultation waiting time. We ask that where possible you advise our staff if you believe a longer consultation or Nursing assistance is required. Emergency situations are given priority and our staff will attempt to contact you prior to your arrival to advise of any delays that may affect your appointment time. Translating and Interpreting Services
This practice accommodates the need of patients who may require assistance if they are unable to speak English or they are hearing impaired. We are able to arrange interpreter services to patients for free. Please ask our reception staff if you require an interpreter to be organised.
If you have a problem we would like to hear about it. Please feel free to talk to your doctor or receptionist. You may prefer to write to us or use the suggestion box. We take your concerns, suggestions and complaints seriously. Alternatively, ask to see the Practice Manager regarding your concern, which will be fully investigated and appropriate action taken.
